System Description:
The Storm water tank cleaning system provides high-impact water cleaning for storm water retention and other tanks.

The Storm Water Tank Cleaning System manufactured by KSB Pumps was first installed by DPS on a trial basis in a single storm water retention tank at Spencestown WWTW to replace the expensive and unreliable mechanical scraper system. The trial was successful and DRD Water Service decided to install the System in the other 3 storm water retention tanks.
This included the full mechanical and civil installation, incorporating a plc controller for the specialised control regime. Our photo shows the negligable amount of debris remaining after a tank was flushed for the first time.
Further progress has been made on this system, resulting in another order in Co Antrim.
DPS continue to work with the design facilities within the Water Service, as well as specialised Consultancies on the design requirements of storm water retention tanks throughout Northern Ireland.
